== Hidden Forest Cave Reward and Restoration Fund ==
Recently, Hidden Forest Cave was heavily vandalized. Our grotto and its donors have created a reward fund to help catch the individual(s) responsible. Thanks for all of your donations! The Grotto is still accepting donations but they will now go toward the restoration of the cave. To donate to the restoration fund, click on the paypal button below. You may also donate at any Bank of the Cascades branch and have them put it toward the Oregon High Desert Grotto account. It's that simple!
However, Law Enforcement personnel are still working the case.

*Update* As of 5-25-2011 (10:30pm) the rewards fund has reached a sufficient size to help achieve our goal of catching the vandals involved in the Hidden Forest Cave incident. All donations from Paypal, Bank of the Cascades, and Facebook will now be used for the restoration of the cave. Any remaining funds will be used to clean up several caves in the surrounding China Hat road area that have also been vandalized.
All previously donated funds will still be held in reserve for rewards on information leading to the apprehension of the person(s) responsible for the vandalism of Hidden Forest Cave occurring around late April 2011. If more than one person is eligible for reward money, the reward will be divided between eligible informants based on the contribution their information had in determining the case. The final determination about which lead(s) are eligible for reward and the reward amounts will made by the elected board of the Oregon High Desert Grotto based on input from USFS Law Enforcement personnel. If the reward money is unused by 5/12/2014 the Grotto board will either use it for future rewards of this nature or donate it to a non-profit cave conservation organization.
